Two Fischer boots win red dot award

Two Fischer boot models have won the red dot design award. The coveted award, which honours outstanding quality and first-class product design, went to the Alpine boot SOMA Progressor 130 and the newly designed cross country boot RCS Carbonlite Skating. Both boots were commended by the international jury for the fact that not only are the inner technical merits of the product excellent but, at the same time, the design statement also meets exacting requirements.

SOMA Progressor 130 – design meets perfection
Function and design are united in this highlight of the upcoming winter. The new, integrated On/Off Piste mode on the Soma Progressor is an individually adjustable forward lean mechanism which ensures precision both on and off the piste. The perfect form of the ski boot also features another ingenious detail: X-Rail, a strengthened shell in the area of the power triangle of the boot, ensures ideal power transfer and remarkable performance.

RCS Carbonlite Skating – supreme comfort
This high-end cross country skiing boot for the skating technique is the result of an innovative design process from the number one in Nordic skiing. Already winner of the European Ski Award, the innovative high-tech product stands out through its perfect fit combined with supreme performance. The visual design of the boot, with its contours and style statement, underline the enhanced value and athletic elegance of the boot.

The RCS Carbonlite Skating won a whole host of medals at the Olympic Games. The prestigious design award is now further confirmation of these impressive sporting achievements.

Red dot – coveted around the world
The red dot award is a sign of quality that is highly coveted throughout the world. This year, 1,636 companies from 57 countries with a total of 4,252 entries took part.
