News from the Hockey Division
The Hockey Division at Fischer Sports GmbH is now going into its third season in Europe and is pleased to report continued strong growth. Having added Poland and Great Britain to the list this year, Fischer Hockey is now represented in almost every European country in the market. In addition to this, sticks for roller hockey have also been sold to Iran for the first time ever this year.
Besides ice hockey, roller hockey is another internationally acknowledged sport in which Fischer hockey sticks are used. And there have already been sporting achievements in this sector. Several players of the "Anglet" team – the 2010 French roller hockey champions – were successful with Fischer.
New innovation
There is also a lot happening on the technology side. Fischer has introduced the Cap technology for hockey sticks for the 2010l11 season. This innovation comes from ski manufacture and it enables the stick to be fully covered with an ultra-thin film which offers 30 per cent greater resistance to hits from other sticks.
